Sign Up for the Job Search Newsletter Searching for a new job can be one of the most frustrating and aggravating experiences a person can experience. In addition to the uncertainty about the future of your career, you must face constant risk and rejection, doubts about your own abilities, and (depending on your circumstances), even your financial stability and ability to pay your bills. For this reason, it’s a good idea to educate yourself as much as possible about the job search process, so that you can shorten and tighten your job search and land a job you want in less time than everyone else competing for the same positions. The free Job Search Newsletter can help you in your quest. Each week as the Job Search website is updated, you can receive a newsletter so that you can check out the latest posted tips and information to enhance your job search. As busy as you will be searching for the perfect job, this little reminder in your inbox each week will let you know when to look for updates and what the current topic is for the week, so that you can pay particular attention to those topics that interest you and will help you in your search. To sign up, just type your email address in the box to the right, labeled “Free Newsletter.” A confirmation notice will be emailed to you right away. This way, you’ll be able to tell whether the newsletter will reach you through your spam filter, or whether you will need to adjust your settings to let the letter get through. You can unsubscribe at any time, so if you don’t want to receive Job Search newsletters after you finally land the job of your dreams, you can easily let us know. Remember that we respect your privacy and will never sell your email address or use it for any other inappropriate purpose. As the site grows, I will be adding articles on a variety of subjects, including choosing your career path, finding jobs for which you want to apply, assessing your own job skills, drafting the perfect cover letter, creating an action-packed resume, giving excellent answers to interview questions, and following up appropriately after the interview has finished. Additionally, I will add links to career resources and tools as well as reading recommendations that I believe you will find helpful. My background in reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates and participating in hiring decisions has helped me to gain insight into the qualities and practices that make a candidate most likely to be offered a position with the employer of their choice. I look forward to sharing my ideas with you.
