In this video training, entitled Youtube 101 Managing a Dynamic Channel, from macProVideo, Matt Vanacoro introduces YouTubeR to those who wish to publish their own videos. This is a basic tour of YouTube and a how-to for using the simple YouTube tools.

Vanacoro begins by demonstrating how to create a YouTube account and connect your other social media accounts so that YouTube can post a message to those accounts when you share a video. Then, he gives you a tour of your YouTube account and settings.

Now you are ready to upload your first video and Vanacoro walks you through the process of uploading the video and adding the basics such as title, description, thumbnail and tags. Next he moves to the Advanced tab and covers some of the important options there.

Vanacoro next gives a few tips on video encoding and what is the best quality to upload to YouTube. He also discusses how to upload from your AppleR iOS device, a MacR video editor, a WindowsR video editor and how to batch upload.

After you have your videos uploaded, Vanacoro covers how to manage them through the YouTube Video Manager. He takes you on a tour of the manager and demonstrates how to use the batch editing tools. Going back to the Info and Settings tab in the video manager, he discusses the importance of using YouTube suggested tags.

YouTube has some nice editing options for uploaded videos and Vanacoro covers the basics. In the Video Manager, he discusses the Enhancements tab and the basic adjustment tools for white balance, stabilization and more. Then he covers the Audio tab with the free music library and simple mixer. Next he discusses the Annotations tab and demonstrates how to add a speech bubble and use the simple text editor. More importantly, he demonstrates how to add a link to your website or store. Finally, he covers the Captions tab and how to add synced text.

In the next section, Vanacoro demonstrates how to use the audio library and video editor to combine several uploaded videos and how to trim, split and add music, lower thirds, free video clips and more. He also shows how to download your uploaded videos to your hard drive.

Vanacoro gives you a tour of the YouTube Dashboard and demonstrates how to drag and drop the various sections to customize the Dashboard. He also shows how to categorize your videos into sections.

As with most social sites, YouTube offers analytics and Vanacoro discusses how to make the most of it. He demonstrates how to create video groups which are like playlist but used for analytics. Next, he discusses the two options for monetizing your videos and how to embed a video into a webpage.
