Discover Da Lat - Da Lat, Vietnam
Guest Author - Taisha Turner

Visit Da Lat, Vietnam to escape the heat of Saigon. Da Lat is in the west-central Highlands. It is 190 miles northeast of Saigon(Ho Chi Min City).

Da Lat’s location in the highlands gives its bearable temperatures. The temperatures reach above 25 C in the summer rarely. Cool breezes allow long walks under the pine trees and through flower gardens. Da Lat provides a nice break from hot, sweaty Saigon.

The settlement has lovely French villas. The French hill town is commonly called “Paris of the South.” Old horse carts ply the streets. The clatter of horse hoofs fills the air.

Da Lat is the honeymoon mecca of Vietnam. Young couples, hand-in-hand, stroll down the streets. These strolling couples give the city its second nickname, “the city of eternal spring.”

A visit to Da Lat is a great destination for the Vietnam traveler. The area is the home of many waterfalls, rubber, tea and coffee plantations, minority villages and various other sites. It’s a wonderful place to rest and recharge yourself.
