Sumie's Kawaii tatting #3928

Another great book of tatting patterns published by the Japanese tatting designer known only as "Sumie." It is the same petite size book, 8"x 8" (20 x 20 cm), in Japanese, paperbound with full color on all 90 pages including tutorials and diagrams. I believe that the title in English for this new book of tatting patterns is "Kawaii tatting handwork accessories." It is from the same series as her previous books, the Lady Boutique series #3928, pub. 2015.

This is a sample of the pattern style. Note that the text is in Japanese but with these handy diagrams you can tat the pattern easily. I must add that some of these patterns have appeared in other of her books. But they are really cute.

This sample of the tutorials highlights the difference between the front and the back side of the tatting. However, all front side tatting is not prominent in the book. It remains a matter of choice for the tatter whether or not to employ the front side back side method of tatting.

These are the covers of Sumie's previous books.
