Social media marketing is important for just about any type of business and the graphics you use with your post are just as, if not more, important than your text. As people are visual by nature and respond better to graphics than text, it is the graphics in the post that will get their attention to start. In this article we will take a look at the top view or Flat Lay style.

As a design team member for several craft companies, I learned quickly that the photo of the finished project was just as important as the step-by-step process to create the project.

One aspect of the graphic or photo is the style. Is it a view from the top down, better known as Flat Lay style? Is it a front view? Is it an isolated image of the product on a white background? There are many more options.

I spent several days researching for the best articles about the Flat Lay style. It took me little time to realize that the topic is very popular for bloggers, especially food and fashion blogs. But you will see this style, which became popular over the last few years, used everywhere.
