Sugarland - Twice the Speed of Life

Sugarland - Twice the Speed of Life
Sugarland, one of the newest groups out there has released their debut CD and it's a great listen. Twice the Speed of Life is the title of the CD and will be the way the group is living if they can keep the harmonies flowing together.

Jennifer Nettles, Kristen Hall and the lone gentleman of the group, Kristian Bush formed Sugarland after having some success on their own. But if this CD is any indication, this trio is headed for the stars together. Everyone in the group participated in either co-writing or actually wrote the songs on the CD, which makes this album uniquely theirs alone. In this listeners opinion, there isn't a bad song here from the ballads to the toe tapping songs. If you like upbeat songs, then this is a CD for you.

Track 1 - Something More is the newest single release from the trio. It talks about taking chances and looking for something different than what they know.

Track 2 - Baby Girl is the first single released that brought Sugarland to the attention of country music fans. It's about a singer trying to make it big and sending letters home to Mom and Dad. The first part is asking Mom and Dad to send money because she is broke, the second part is her sending money home to her parents.

Track 3 - Hello tells about where she was born and where she fell in love.

Track 4 - Tennessee talks about finding true love and not being brave enough to hold on to it.

Track 5 - Just Might (Make Me Believe) is one of the few ballads on the CD. It tells about real life, bills piling up and having someone you care about making everything worthwhile.

Track 6 - Down in Mississippi (Up to No Good) is a feel good song about having fun after working all week.

Track 7 - Fly Away talks about getting out of small town to find something else and to explore the world.

Track 8- Speed of Life is the title track off the CD. It talks about how fast things go by in life and to try to enjoy things as they come along, from a band making the big time to a married couple raising a family.

Track 9 - Small Town Jericho tells about growing up in a small town and loving it. The fact that everyone knows you and you know everyone.

Track 10 - Time, Time, Time talks about waking up and taking time to enjoy life, taking time to slow down and "smell the roses".

Track 11 - Stand Back Up tells about being vunerable, but being able to pick yourself up and going on with what needs to be done.
