2005 CMT Music Award Winners

They say the show must go on and boy did it! CMT was the place to be to see the big stars of today, yesterday and tomorrow perform and win awards.

In this viewers opinion this is one of the most important award shows, it isn't voted on by artists, producers or record industry people. It is the chance for fans to let the artists know exactly what we like and who we like. No critics can tell a fan who to vote for, that has to come from their own personal opinion.

With almost all the nominees performing, there were still a few surprises, perhaps the biggest being Trisha Yearwood making an appearance to perform her new single Georgia Rain.

The nine winners were:
CMT Music Awards Video of the Year
Keith Urban - "Days Go By"

CMT Music Awards Male Video of the Year
Kenny Chesney - "I Go Back"

CMT Music Awards Female Video of the Year
Gretchen Wilson - "When I Think About Cheatin'"

CMT Music Awards Collaborative Video of the Year
Brad Paisley featuring Alison Krauss - "Whiskey Lullaby"

CMT Music Awards Group/Duo Video of the Year
Rascal Flatts - "Feels Like Today"

CMT Music Awards Breakthrough Video of the Year
Gretchen Wilson - "Redneck Woman"

CMT Music Awards Hottest Video of the Year

CMT Music Awards Most Inspiring Music Video of the Year
