It's Either In or Out
We made it to 2009, happy, healthy and in one fashion conscious piece. Now the idea is to keep it that way, by putting our best fashion foot forward. Now do I mean you should put all your clothes in a pile out back and grab the gasoline? No of course not but I do want you to know that there are a number of things that were great 2008 but will fall flat in 2009.
This year clothing will continue to be colorful and feminine keeping with last years style of the material flowing with the body, but now adding a few sexy little nuances like lace and little frills here and there to help complete the outfit this will give you a completely different look to boldly display. You’ll notice stylish embellishments on your shoes such as ruffles and studs that will help enhance and not overpower any outfit.
We will be getting away from the overstated jeweled heels, and the extremely oversized shades that make the wearer appear to be from another species. Replace these things with patent heels in sexy vibrant colors and accessories like bangles that mix the neutrality of wood with the amazing hues of enamel or semiprecious stones. Also try dresses with stunningly bold prints and hues that remind everyone why you’re always invited to the party. This year know that a fear of color is not an option.
Novelty items such as star shaped head bands (yes awful I know), cowboy boots and the ever so hard to get rid of jean ensemble will hopefully make it back to the ranch where they belong, making way for real style like short little summer dress, weird combinations of paisley and plaids that actually work, and the return of the jumpsuit, yes I said it the jumpsuit.
This year comfort and style are going to be used in the same sentence, we’re going to start with laid back but bold ready to wear, accessories that include large stylish totes, vivacious statement sandals, jewelry that speaks before its spoken too and spectacular sequins tops that don’t have to be worn only at night. Let’s not forget that with the release of everyone’s favorite vampire movie Twilight, the new gothic trends may have you asking your self why didn’t you come over to the dark side sooner?
Remember that anyone can buy fashion but your style is your own, explore it learn about it and make it work for you.
