My favorite CRM keeps on getting better. Insightly ended 2012 by adding 14 new improved features and by providing customers with a free iOS mobile app. Their communication has picked up in 2013 as they shared content on their blog related to the challenges that small businesses face and tip related articles.
Here are the highlights since our last review.
Notes, Comments and Form Enhancements
A rich text editor for notes, comments and task descriptions has been added and there is now no limit to the size of saved notes and comments which used to max out at 4000 characters. Users can now also edit the date of a note and view notes easily in the new notes view along with note comments. When users add or edit forms they can change the display order of their custom fields.
Activity Sets Improvements
Activity Sets is a neat feature allowing users to create a series of tasks that repeat and save them as a set to add to projects or the tasks list. Changes include the ability to set the start and end date of the activity set as it is created, to forward and reverse activities supported in activity sets and to assign activity set tasks to a team instead of one user. In addition, activity sets used to be constructed of tasks only. Insightly added the ability to include events in the set.
Sharing an Communication
Since the Insightly CRM is important to project management, sharing information with others to complete projects is important. Some new features to aid project managers in this endeavor is the ability to share custom filters, the feature to add Twitter profiles for Organizations to pull in their Twitter feeds, the capabilities to link to folders and files in Google Docs / Google Drive and the ability to send emails directly to opportunities and projects in Insightly. To keep your contacts and organizations area up-to-date, you now have the ability to bulk edit both with the new bulk editing system.
Availability of an iOS Mobile App
Users have the ability to manage their CRM on the go now. Users who download the Insightly app from the iTunes App Store can use their smart device to add comments via voice recordings and pictures and to attach notes to a contact when a call is made.
Insightly User Tipsí Campaign
Insightly has started a campaign where they share user tips and randomly pick a winner of a free gift each month. It is great to read the ideas of others.
Insightly University was created to get users off to a flying start by sharing video tutorials.
If you are a small business looking for a CRM, Insightly should be a top consideration.
