If you consider Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce the only real Holmes and Watson be sure to tune into TCM television on August 23 starting at 8:00 p.m. Four classic Sherlock Holmes will be shown, starting with Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon from 1942. It is followed by Sherlock Holmes and the Woman in Green, 1945, Sherlock Holmes in Terror by Night (1946); and finally Sherlock Holmes in Dressed to Kill ,1946. These great black and white movies are short and sweet--between 60 and 75 minutes. And, when they are shown like it back-to-back, it makes the 'perfect' Holmes night.

The August Turner Classic Movies schedule is a delight for mystery movie fans.
