Southeast Asia Visa and Passport Requirements - Batam Indonesia
Batam, Indonesia will issue a visa on arrival (VOA). Citizens of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) do not have to pay a fee with their application. Americans and most other countries have to pay a fee when applying. It is US$10.00 for a three day visa. A thiry day visa is $US25.00. Some foreign nationals have to secure a visa from an Indonesia embassy before arrival on the island.
The process is simple with a valid passport and funds. Bring the exact US dollars because the exchange rates are poor. You will lose funds on the transaction.
Afterwards, you are free to explore the island of Batam, Indonesia for the period of the visa. Taxi cabs are on the quay to take you to your desination. There is a free, short video to orientate first time visitors.
