Big on Batik founder Cathy Miller started this venture called the Love Your Body Wristband Project in 2005. The purpose of these wristbands is to "enrich the lives of women of all sizes with a powerful affirmation: Love Your Body."
$1 from each wristband sold will be donated to various organizations that support and encourage a positive body image, regardless of size. At the moment the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA), Council on Size and Weight Discrimination, Association for Size Diversity and Health (ASDAH), and NoLose will all benefit from this project.
Currently, the official spokes person for the Love Your Body project is plus size model and 2003 Miss Plus America winner, Chenese Lewis. Chenese is a bold woman who sets goals and works towards them. She exudes charisma, strength and of course beauty.
To get your wristbands, click on the LOVE YOUR BODY banner below. "This is a project of the heart, I'm not making a cent on these wristbands," says Cathy. The bracelets which come in three colors are a full 8.5" and cost $3.50 each. There are also a number of other products like t-shirts, ball caps, tote bags, and buttons all bearing the logo and providing support for the above mentioned organizations.
Don't forget to mark your calender to celebrate Love Your Body day. This year it falls on October 18th.

Did you get a set? Tell us how much you love them in the Large and Lovely Forum. There's a thread already started for you.
