Welcome to Life Matt Maher*

Listening to this recording it's easy to see why Matt Maher was named "Best New Artist of the Year" for 2003 by the United Catholic Music and Video Association. Maher delivers a fresh, lively and upbeat project that portrays the relationship that God has on our lives with richness. Opening with the whimsical and fun-filled title track, "Welcome to Life", he calls us to enjoy this wonderful existence of ours and to realize that we were made by the love of God. Next he moves on to a hard hitting rockin' "All Glory to God". The electric guitar and pounding drums takes this track up to a wonderful praise fest. The beautiful ballad "Jesus, My Everything" allows Maher to use his yearning tenor to call on Jesus to be his everything. Maher sings with a haunting familiarity about the struggle to allow Jesus to take full control and lead us to his calling.
