Homeopathy

Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a gently and effective natural medical science that recognizes disease as an energy imbalance, a disturbance of the body’s vital force. They also work with your body to stimulate your own immune system’s defenses. Homeopathic physicians are trained to match the patient’s symptoms with the precise remedy, which is mild and non-toxic. Even the highest potencies do not create the side effects to allopathic drugs (conventional medicine). The remedies themselves neither cover up nor destroy disease, but stimulate the body’s own healing action restoring itself to balance.

Conventional medicines usually mask or reduce the symptoms of a disease without addressing the underlying problem. (For example, cough medicines suppress the cough reflex, which is your body's attempt to clear the lungs). Homeopathy works in harmony with your immune system, to wipe out the root causes. Although both medicinal systems use weak doses of a disease-causing agent to stimulate the body’s defenses against illness, homeopathy uses plants, herbs and earth minerals for this stimulation, whereas conventional medicine uses viruses or chemicals.

The theory behind homeopathy “Like cures like,” means that if a substance produces symptoms of disease in a healthy person, it will cure a sick person suffering from those same symptoms. Hippocrates wrote, (470-400 BC) "Disease is eliminated through remedies able to produce similar symptoms." Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) rediscovered and developed Homeopathic Remedies into what they are today. Dr. Samuel Hahnemenn got the term homeopathy from the Greek word homoios meaning similar, and pathos meaning suffering; homeopathy follows the principle that "like cures like." to describe treatment based on this belief.

Homeopathic Remedies generally complement any allopathic medical program but it is always a good practice to check with your physician first. Also, a good night sleep and a healthy diet along with exercising will complement any Homeopathic Remedies. You should choose the Homeopathic that best matches your symptoms. Sometimes the symptoms will get worse before they get better, often this is a sign that the Homeopathic is working.

How to take homeopathic remedies:

For maximum effectiveness, take ½ dropperful under the tongue at a time and hold for 30 seconds before swallowing; or dissolve the tiny homeopathic lactose tablets under the tongue. These remedies are designed to enter the bloodstream directly through the mouth’s mucous membranes. For best absorption, do not eat, drink or smoke for 15 minutes before or after taking. Try to avoid caffeine and strong mints, including eucalyptus, menthol and mint toothpaste, cayenne, or alcohol; they overpower homeopathy’s subtle stimulus.
