Titanic was a blockbuster movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Here are the errors that crept into this generally highly accurate film.
When the ship is leaving port, you see the middle propeller turning. This actually wouldn't have been used for this type of slow speed moving.
Jack talks about ice fishing on Lake Wissota. While this is a real lake, it is a "made" lake. The lake didn't exist until AFTER the Titanic sank.
Cal uses a 1911A1 in the movie, which wasn't around until 1926.
In the radio room there's a map of the world with MODERN borders, not borders as of the time of the Titanic.
In a myth that's actually been disproven on Mythbusters and discussed many times, there wasn't a massive suction when the Titanic went down. According to contemporary reports, Chief Baker Charles Joughin rode the stern the entire way down and was let off so gently that his head didn't get wet as the ship sank beneath him.
At one point Rose admires a Monet painting "The Nymphs" - but this painting didn't exist yet.
You can spot a digital watch on one of the men boarding the lifeboats!
