Many years ago ladies would gather together and spend quality time cooking, canning, or quilting together. These days we have to schedule in time just to call or email a friend. Most of us can never seem to squeeze enough time into our days to scrapbook with a friend. That is why some women take advantage of the many scrapbook weekend getaways that are available.

If you are like me, you have a hard time justifying the expense of going away for a weekend just to scrapbook. I have a whole new outlook on that now though! Getting away for the weekend to scrapbook with family or friends is so theraputic and refreshing! Not to mention a fabulous way to reconnect and have quality time with a friend. We all need a chance to just sit back and be creative without interuptions!

We just finished up a fabulous weekend at Scrap Camp. Ladies came from all over to gather together with friends and spend the weekend scrapbooking. The sounds of conversation and laughter filled the crop room all weekend. New friendships were made and old friendships were brought even closer together! Older mothers came with their adult daughters. Aunts came with neices. Sisters came to just have time alone together. Friends came in groups of 5 and more!

I had never really thought about it so much before this past weekend....but scrapbooking is really so much more than just preserving your families memories. Scrapbooking is truly a great way to fellowship and spend time with people that you love!
