Brookline Drive

Guest Author - Danielle Crowe

Pop/rock band Brookline Drive is quickly becoming rising stars and building considerable buzz with their musical creativity. After forming as a band only one year ago, they are already selling out headlining shows across New England and are gaining the title as the best up-and-coming pop/rock bands around.

Hailing from Hartford, Connecticut, the unsigned band originally started as an acoustic project by vocalist Ben Lemieux and drummer/vocalist/guitarist Rich Paquet. However, the duo were quickly gaining so much popularity that they developed into a full band by adding brothers Spencer and Jordan Hillman – who lend their skills through guitar/vocals and bass/vocals/keyboard.

The pop/rock band’s explosive line-up features the four talented vocalists whose lyrical interplay and harmonies are unique, modern and basically unlike any other bands that are in the industry at the moment. Although the group may be new to the music scene, they are far from inexperienced as the members have played with or performed in multiple other bands before coming together to form Brookline Drive. After gaining a wide range of experience and drawing influences from all over the musical spectrum, Brookline Drive’s four talented multi-instrumentalists have come together to create a unique, catchy sound that makes for incredibly exciting live shows and overall recordings.

Following the success of their debut EP titled “Close to Me,” which was released in 2011, Brookline Drive has since released their second album, titled “Remember When.” After receiving great reviews, the album sold over 8000 CDs while the band was touring nationally with Vans Warped Tour. With an “au-courant” and modern sound that blends great vocals and beats to create overall fun music, it’s no wonder that the band is doing so well. Energetic performances and catchy tunes are the exact recipe for a successful band, and Brookline Drive and definitely doing it right.
