Home Alone

Kevin McAllister suddenly finds himself “home alone” when the family of the mischievous eight-year-old unwittingly leaves him behind when they leave for their Christmas holiday trip to Paris. Kevin’s new found freedom is short lived when two burglars who have staked out the neighborhood decide that Kevin’s house is next on their list. It’s up to Kevin to defend his home at all costs and to salvage what he can of his Christmas holiday. Be sure to look for these movie mistakes while you’re watching the hit holiday comedy “Home Alone”.

• The night before they leave, the entire family is staying at Kevin's house. Kevin wants to watch the movie that the rest of the family is watching but his Uncle Frank won’t let him. Kevin goes to talk to his mom in her bedroom and there is a suitcase on it, open with some books stacked in it. Before Kevin jumps on the bed, one of the books is suddenly out of the suitcase and is on the bed.

• Kevin has pizza delivered to the house after he’s been left behind. The pizza delivery person goes to the backdoor to deliver it. There is a newspaper on the kitchen counter. Kevin goes to the door with the money and the newspaper is unfolded as if he has been reading it. But when Kevin goes back, the paper is now neatly folded in half.

• Kevin goes to the drugstore and gets a toothbrush. He asks the clerk if the toothbrush is approved by the ADA. Kevin takes the toothbrush off the counter with his left hand. The clerk calls someone over and the side view of Kevin shows him taking the brush off the counter again.

• Kevin is at church on Christmas Eve and talks to Marley, his neighbor. When he leaves church and is running outside, Kevin is wearing grey pants. But he’s wearing blue jeans when he arrives home. Kevin is wearing the grey pants again when he’s booby-trapping the house.

“Home Alone” (1990) stars Macaulay Culkin, Catherine O’Hara, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern and John Heard. It runs 103 minutes and is rated PG for some comic action and mild language.
