2006 CMT Music Awards Final Nominees

2006 CMT Music Awards Final Nominees
The final nominees have been announced for the only fan vote driven award show. The CMT Music Awards will air live on April 10th at 8:00pm e/p.

Hosting again is Jeff Foxworthy and the artists performing so far (which are subject to change) are Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Sugarland, Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins and Gretchen Wilson. This show has been around since 2002 and going into it’s fifth year, the show is gaining in popularity.

Leading the nominations is Faith Hill with four. Tim McGraw was shut out with the only nominations being the collaboration with his wife, Faith Hill. Is the love affair with the Muzik Mafia over? Although Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy and Big & Rich were nominated they didn’t come through the first round with any nominations except for Gretchen with a Video of the Year nomination.
