The longest orchid vine is
Vanilla planifolia. The plant is actually a monopodial orchid which can grow up to 100 feet, or 30.5 meters, in its native habitat of Central America. Vanilla was first used by the Aztecs as a flavoring and introduced to the west by the Spanish Conquistadors.
