Other religions and books in Quran
Guest Author - Serkan Tufan

Islam teaches its followers that main religions Christianity and Judaism are believing the same God, the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Almighty. In Quran, it is stated by God that He sent prophets to all nations throughout the history.

From Chapter Hud:
25. We sent Noah to his People (with a mission): "I have come to you with a Clear Warning:
26. "That ye serve none but Allah. Verily I do fear for you the punishment of a Grievous Day."

50. To the Àd People (We sent) Hüd, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my People! Worship Allah! Ye have no other god but Him. You are only forgers!"
51. "O my People! I ask of you no reward for this (Message). My reward is from none but Him Who created me: Will ye not then understand?
52. "And O my People! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!"

84. To the Madyan People (We sent) Shuàib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my People! Worship Allah. Ye have no other god but Him. And give not short measure or weight: I see you in prosperity, but I fear for you the Chastisement of a Day that will compass (you) all round.
85. "And O my People! give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due: commit not evil in the land with intent to do mischief.
86. "That which is left you by Allah is best for you, if ye (but) believed! but I am not set over you to keep watch!"

These are just some examples of the messengers mentioned in Quran. Quran mentiones how God revealed and sent Torah and New Testament originally. Islam is so original in its teaching that it calls people to accept and love all prophets, all religions and books. Indeed, a person cannot be muslim unless s/he accepts and believes all the books and the prophets came down with the same truth: Allah is the only , the One God.

These are some beautiful verses in Quran as a conclusion:
" (the true believers are those who) believe in what has been revealed to thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee" [2:4]

"Say: We believe in God, and that which has been sent down on us, and sent down on Abraham and Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob, and the Tribes, and in that which was given to Moses and Jesus, and the prophets, of their Lord; we make no division between any of them." [2:136]

"He has revealed(gradually) to thee (O Muhammad) the Book with truth, verifying that which is before it, and He revealed the Torah and the Gospel before, a guidance for the people, and He sent the Discrimination (the Quran)." [3:3]

[2:285] The Apostle believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in God, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His apostles." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

And lastly, here is some examples of Prophets' prayers in Quran:
He (Suleyman-a.s.) said, "O my Lord! Forgive me, and grant me a kingdom which, (it may be), suits not another after me: for You are the Grantor of Bounties (without measure).
Moses prayed: My Lord! forgive me and my brother and cause us to enter into your mercy, and you are the most Merciful of the merciful ones. (Araf, 7: 151)
There did Zakariya pray to his Lord; he said: My Lord! grant me from Thee good offspring; surely Thou art the Hearer of prayer. (Ali-Imran, 3 - verse 38)

Quran is embellished with numerous examples from the lives of the prophets, who all were sent with the same truth: Allah is the only God!
