Mom's Memories

MOM'S MEMORIES
Where does Mom keep her memories? In a box worn beyond repair,
Tucked inside are memories, Ask and she will gladly share.
Tattered Valentines "To Mommy With Love," Papers boasting "Good Work... Well Done!"
A hand print small and fragile, Blue ribbons proudly won.
Macaroni shells that once formed a flower, A baby picture smudged with kisses,
The first tooth the Fairy spared, Cards of IOU's and loving wishes.
Where does Mom keep her memories? In a box this precious cargo rests
Reminiscent of days long past, This box of love is her treasure chest.

MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS
You can see it in their eyes, in tender hugs and long good-byes, a love that only moms and daughters know.
You can see it in their smiles, through passing years and changing styles, a friendship that continually seems to grow.
You can see it in their lives, the joy each one of them derives, in just knowing that the other one is there...
To care and to understand, lend an ear or hold a hand, and to celebrate the memories they share.
