ABBREVIATIONS

R = ring

CH = chain

HCL = hanging cluny

SCH = split chain

LS = chain lock stitch

ZZ = zig zag chain

clr = close

seed beads and sequins

2 needles for attaching sequins and seed beads

SCREEN

R1 = 3ds – 3ds – 3ds – 3ds clr.

LS – 3ds / 3ds / 3ds – 3ds / 3ds / 3ds – (for desired size)


R2 – 3ds – 3ds – 3ds – 3ds clr

CH – 6 ds

Repeat the Rings and Lock Stitch Chain until the other end.


SCH – 6ds / R / LS (Repeat to opposite end)

Once the desired width is tatted, please repeat in the opposite direction.

To make the corners, use the LS chain and two floating rings.

MOUNTING THE SCREEN

Use any size painted screen. Paste the entire tatting network onto screen. Paste the entire zigzag in network.



Apply the flower in the desired place in network. Paste seed beads in the rings of network. Complete the job with a chain with picot on stem of the flower, mimicking a grass. Background may be painted any desired color.
