Imagine shaking what God gave you to the latest grooves along side other plus size women in a club atmosphere without being judged by the flesh on your back (or butt, or anywhere else). There is such a place and if you live in the Long Beach, California area you should be checking it out.

Not so long ago Lisa Marie Garbo (right in image) had a dream about a club for BBW's. The dream was so strong she talked Cher Rue (left in image) into helping her make that dream a reality. Club Bounce celebrated its second anniversary on June 2nd.

When you walk into Club Bounce you can expect the same atmosphere of a regular nightclub says promoter, Cher Rue. "Hip Hop and Old School except with comfy, size friendly seating." There are also two pool tables, free parking and drink specials. "But the most important part is the friendliest warm greetings, and if you are alone we make sure you meet people to hang out with." Lisa Marie and Cher make it their mission to make you feel at home.

Because everyone feels so comfortable Club Bounce has a lot of regulars but Cher says there are always lots of new people because there is no judgment. This is a good place to have fun and to meet both men and women. Although it was never the intention some girls have even met their future husbands here.

Cher Rue says BBW events like these are important so BBW's have a place to have fun where they "will not be judged on their size or how they look or dress. They can come as they like, have fun and not worry if someone is staring."

The Club Bounce crew meets every Friday night at the PCH Club at 6285 Pacific Coast Highway. There is a $10 coverage charge.
