Praise in the Park Festival Set
All new artist, soloists, groups, choirs, praise teams, dance teams, spoken word and hip-hop gospel talent are encouraged to come out and participate in the biggest gospel showcase in Griffin, Georgia! Praise in the Park is open for anyone that wants to showcase their ministry. This annual event will take place from July 6-8 2006.
The event will feature several top gospel acts including Serenity and the brother and sister group Charles and Taylor.
On July 6th the New Artist Showcase will take place at The Voice of the Nation Church, 1335 W. Taylor St. The entry fee for the showcase is $100 for soloist and $150 for groups. The winners of the showcase will receive production of a concept video valued at $10,000. Audience tickets for the New Artist Showcase is $5 at the door.
A Praise in the Park New Artist Workshop and Question and Answer Conference will be held on July 7th at 7:30 pm. This event will allow the top ten artist selected from the New Artist Showcase to perform in front of leading industry executives. Artists will receive commentary and feedback regarding their projects from several top gospel movers and shakers. Schedule panelist will include Veda Brown, of Black Gospel Promo.
Finally the main event, the 6th Annual Praise in the Park Concert will take place on July 8, 2006 at Griffin City Park from 11:00am until-8:00pm. The park is located off Camp Northern St in Griffin Georgia and the concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will be hosted by Joe Pope of Video Praise TV, and Candace Walker of ChristianMusic@Bellaonline and Christian Conversations. There will also be a live remote radio broadcast of the event by WHIE radio out of Griffin.
