Extra Large Dolls - Dress Sleeve and Collar Patterns
Guest Author - Susan Kramer

Here are the pattern pieces for the sleeve and collar pattern for making dresses to fit approximately 25 inch (62.5cm) dolls, including the Raggedy Ann doll. Click here for the bodice pattern.

This pattern is my original design and may not be used commercially.

To make your 1-inch square (2.5cm) grid graph paper

First, take an 8.5x11 inch piece of plain paper and draw 1 inch squares - I do this by drawing horizontal lines 1 inch apart down the page, and then vertical lines 1 inch apart across the page.

Next, looking at the .jpg image you want to enlarge, copy what is in each of my squares into your larger squares.

Seam allowances of one quarter inch are included.

Note that the sleeve top is a fold line.

Skirt Pattern

Cut a rectangle of the fabric you wish to use for the skirt 12 inches long and 31 inches wide. This gives 2.5 inches for hem. This size gives a nice fullness, but not too much, to the finished skirt.

Charity Note:
I'd like to suggest that if you spend time making doll clothes, anyway, that you collect a few dolls from friends and neighbors and sew a wardrobe or a complete outfit for each doll. Then donate the doll in the completed outfit to a charity that distributes used dolls and toys to kids that otherwise would not have any.

When I was a little girl, nothing brightened up my face more than my mother making me a new outfit for my doll!
