Hello, and welcome back! The weather here today is wet and dreary, but by the weekend, it should be sunny and warmer. Fall is definitely here, with the fickle weather, warm one day, chilly the next. It really is one of my favorite seasons. A really good season for reading, anyway, and this month's book club choice is why I'm here.
Taken by Barbara Freethy is our book club selection for this month. Kayla Sheridan's wedding night and all her hopes for the future are horribly dashed when her new husband disappears. And when she finally finds someone home at his house, the stranger she finds there claims that he is Nick Granville, and not the man she married who used his name. So, which Nick is she really married to, anyway? The truth is someone hates him enough to involve Kayla in his schemes for Nick's ruination. Now they have to catch the villain, but unexpected emotions crop up between them along the way.
This one has great suspense, sure to hook readers. Right now, it's time to read, and then the week of September 24, 2006, we'll begin our discussion in the forum. If you haven't yet registered to participate in the forum discussions, registration is free and only takes a few minutes; it's painless, I promise! Then you can not only join in on our book club discussions, but you won't miss out on any of our forum book giveaways, or our other ongoing discussions. Hope to see you there!
Until next time, happy reading!
