Sending Hand Written Cards

Sending Hand Written Cards
In the age of technology, the hand written note has gone out of fashion. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it. It means that when you do send a hand written thank you note, it means so much more to the recipient because of its rarity.

When you want to say thank you, it’s easy to drop an email or send a text message, but if you really want to make an impression, then hand write a card, or send a letter on attractive stationery.

The time when you must send a hand written card is to say thank you for a wedding present. While you can drop an email to a close relative to say thank you for a birthday or Christmas present, it would be improper to do so on receiving a wedding present.

Even people you email regularly will appreciate the occasional “Thank you for being you” card.

There is nothing more romantic than sending a hand written card or letter through the mail to your significant other. Especially if it is not near Valentine’s Day or your anniversary. The best time to say, “I love you” is when it is not expected.

Hand written notes are more personal than typed ones. You can pre-print your Christmas cards, but it’s a lot nicer to receive if the person took the time to sign it rather than just have it printed.

Email gets easily deleted, but hand written cards or notes can be kept for years and treasured for decades. Just by spending a few minutes writing something down, it can impact another for years to come.

There are many times you can send a card. If someone needs encouragement, or has moved into a new house, done something and needs congratulating, got married, or lost someone. On happy times and sad a hand written card can be just the right thing to send. Or even just send a card to tell someone you are thinking of them.

Who doesn’t feel just a bit better if someone goes to the effort to mail them a note or a card to say they are in someone’s thoughts for whatever reason?

Because many people today text and email, there are a lot of attractive cards and pretty stationary given to thrift stores. So you can even get what you want at a greatly reduced price in your local thrift store.
