Trace Adkins - Dangerous Man

Trace Adkins - Dangerous Man
That distinctive voice with Trace Adkins is back with a new CD offering. Dangerous Man is another CD with songs that will either get your toes tapping, make you laugh or tug on your heart strings.

Remember the old Donny and Marie show where they had a segment where they sang "I'm a little bit country and I'm a little bit rock and roll"? That's what embodies this CD from Mr. Adkins this time around. Trace does it again with his choice of songs and lyrics on Dangerous Man. From the title track to Swing and on thru Ladies Love Country Boys you are taken on a journey into a southern mans mind. While some will take him to task for the lyrics on some of the songs, you have to keep in mind that sometimes a song is just a song. Sometimes a CD is collection of songs that the artist enjoys, not a political statement or even a statement to the way that they live their lives.

Dangerous Man is about a man who is in love with his woman and how he changes when he is with her. She makes him lose control and not act like everyone sees him during the day.

Ladies Love Country Boys is a cute song talking about how girls are drawn to those country boys with their tight jeans, pickup trucks and fun lifestyles. It talks about parents that just don’t understand why their daughters come home with these guys that aren’t exactly what they had in mind.

Swing is another song that Trace is catching some flack over because of the lyrics, much like his Honky Tonk Badonkadonk caused. It’s about guys at the bar striking out with the ladies, something that happens every night all over the world. Tired old pickup lines are put into the song, showing exactly how effective they are with the ladies.

Southern Hallelujah is a tip off to anyone not born south of the Mason Dixon line that girls from southern states will get your blood pumping. Set to a southern rock beat, it will get you out of your seat and on the dance floor.

Honky Tonk Badonkadonk (remix) is the one song on the CD that I really don't like, the remix is just a bit too much for this listener. I understand that it is the club version and popular, but it has too much of a techno sound for me.

All in all, in this listeners opinion this is a CD that should be in all Trace Adkins fans collections. If you don’t have it, get it, if you haven’t heard the voice of this man, go take a listen quick.
