The final country music award show is just around the corner and the excitement is building. The 40th annual CMA awards will be hosted by Brooks & Dunn.

Both Brooks & Dunn and Brad Paisley lead the pack with six nominations each. New artist Carrie Underwood has four nominations along with Keith Urban and Kenny Chesney. George Strait, Sonny James and Harold Bradley are all being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame the night of the show. Airing November 6th on it's new home ABC, the show promises to be full of entertainment.

Scheduled to perform so far are Sara Evans, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood to name a few. Most of the nominees will be performing their hits or debuting new music. The only nominee not performing will be Keith Urban who is currently undergoing rehab for alcohol abuse.
