Hello, and welcome back! It's a little chilly here now, but I'm not minding. Fall is really one of my very favorite seasons, with summer's heat gone and the beautiful leaf colors all around. We can break out the sweaters and teapots again. And with the cool weather comes the need for some reading material to warm you up.
As voted on in the forum, 
Desperate Tigress (Leisure) by Jade Lee is our November 2006 book club selection. Tigress Shi Po has lost her last chance to reach immortality and decides it is time for her death. But her husband Kui Yu has quite different plans for his wife and their life together, and they definitely don't include her death.
As always, we'll read the first few weeks of the month, and then around November 24, 2006, we'll start our actual discussion of the book over in the forum. Registration is required for forum participation, but it is free and painless (I promise!), and I hope we'll chat with you there! And, besides the book club discussion, we always have other things to talk about.
Then we're going to take December off, because I know I'm not the only one here who'll be crazy-busy with work and other obligations during the month; it is holiday season, after all, and there are an awful lot of demands for our time, even more so than the usual. We can get back to book discussions again in January, after things have calmed down for everyone.
