If you are like me, you are checking that list twice to make sure you haven't left off anyone this Christmas. There is always at least a few folks that I wind up having to shop for at the last minute. Last minute Christmas shopping can be fun and frustrating. It's fun because there are still good deals to be had at many stores. It's frustrating because none of those great deals fit the person you are buying for. I like to give board games as gifts. Here is my last minute gift shopping guide for board games.

Wits and Wagers
Wits and Wagers is a party game that combines trivia and poker. You do not have to like trivia games to enjoy Wits and Wagers. Each game consists of seven rounds. Players are asked one question during each round. They write down their numerical answer on a reusable game wipe board. Answers are collected and placed on the playing mat. Players then bet on which answer they think is correct or closest to the correct answer without going over. Since up to 21 people can play, this makes a great party game.

Sudoku Challenge
Sudoku is still very popular. Sudoku is fun for puzzle lovers and for those curious about these addicting puzzles. Sudoku Challenge is made by SimplyFun Games and can be played by up to four people. Players take turns laying down legal moves on the Sudoku board. When no more moves can be placed, the person with the highest score wins. Sudoku Challenge also comes with Zoodoku that is similar to Sudoku but with a smaller grid and animals, making it perfect for kids to enjoy.

Catch Phrase
Catch Phrase is not only a fun game to get but a fun game to play. Players divide into two teams and take turns trying to get their teammates to say the catch phrase on screen. Give this one and then have a good time playing a few rounds.

Combo King
For those Yahtzee lovers on your list, Gamewright's Combo King takes it to the next level. Players are dealt cards and can discard a card when they roll the combination. The first player out of cards wins the game. Chips are won for making a combo. Chips can help you in the game or be used to hinder an opponent.

Monopoly
With all the variety of Monopoly boards on the market, you can surely find one that is a good match for someone on your list. Monopoly licensed board games range from college football teams to the Simpsons. While a lot of people already have a Monopoly game, a licensed one featuring their favorite TV show, movie, or team would surely be a welcomed gift.

Buying those last minute Christmas gifts can be a huge hassle. No matter how early I start shopping it seems I'm always buying last minute Christmas gifts. A board game makes a great gift last minute gift because there are plenty on the store shelves plus it'll be a gift that will bring a lot of fun to the receiver.
