Cedric the Entertainer to Host Superbowl Gospel Celebration
Image Hosted by ImageShack.usHistory making is set to take place at the 2007 Superbowl as two African-American coaches go against each other for the title of National Champions for the first time in the game's history. Also adding flavor to the event and to kick things off with a bang the 8th Annual Superbowl Gospel Celebration has just announce the connfirmation of comedian Cedric The Entertainer as co-host of the event. Yes this year's Superbowl activies are proving to be ones that you don't want to miss!

Results, Inc. president, Melanie Few, the event's founder and executive producer, made the hosting announcement. Additionally, Few announced that Kyle Bowser, veteran producer of television and live events will serve as an Executive Producer of this year's event. Plans for unveiling a new look for the concert, which maintains its distinguished tradition as the first and only Gospel music event sanctioned for Super Bowl weekend by the National Football League (NFL) were also announced in a recent press release.

The concert is scheduled to take place at the James L. Knight Center in Miami on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. and features performances from Grammy award-winning artists including Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond and Hezekiah Walker.

Presented by Sam's Club, the inspirational evening celebrates the best of gospel music and was ranked by USA Today in 2006 as one of the top 3 must see events. Additional artists confirmed to date include J Moss, Tye Tribbett and Jaci Velasquez.

Among the NFL players scheduled for special guest appearances are: Mike Adams (49ers), Shawn Barber (Eagles), Anquan Boldin (Cardinals), Andre Davis (Buffalo Bills), Derrick Dockery (Redskins), Jamin Elliott (Falcons), Demetric Evans (Redskins)and Antwaan Randle El (Redskins).

The 8th Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration is sponsored in part by Greater Fort Lauderdale. Media partners include Ebony Magazine and Sheridan Gospel Network. The Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Complex for Education, Heritage and Presentation which is also a benefiting charity.
