Hello, and welcome back! Spring weather is definitely here, though who knows for how long? So we're enjoying it while we can. And it looks like my recuperation has been forced into one more day, so I may get more reading done this week than I'd expected. Maybe even clean up the office a little, or the book room, which is in even more disarray, but it's difficult to keep up when there are always new books to buy, or that have come in with the review packages. Anyway, before I start on any of those little jobs, I have to make our Book Club Selection announcement for this month.

Anne Stuart's Black Ice (Mira) is our May '07 Book Club Selection, as chosen by our forum members. (As an aside, if you want to participate in choosing each month's discussion book, pop on over to the forum. We first decide on the sub-genre, and then vote on book choices each month.) Chloe Underwood lives a boring life in Paris, but figures a weekend temporary job will give her a little excitement. Perhaps a little too much excitement for Chloe, who finds herself in the midst of some highly illegal and dangerous people, people who want her dead when she discovers their secret. Bastien Toussaint is supposed to kill her, but he spirits her away and into even more danger. Just how much excitement did she really want, anyway? Bastien is not just dangerous, but sexy as hell, though she has to wonder why he hasn't killed her as ordered. Or if he's keeping her alive for something else?
