JAWS is a very popular screen reader program used by blind and visually impaired individuals for operating a computer.
The letters in the word JAWS stands for “Job Access With Speech.” The program was designed to help the blind use the computer to get access to the features of a computer, e-mail messaging and the Internet. Access to the technology opened new doors and different methods for the visually impaired/blind to search for work and obtain help and support for continuing his/her education or a college degree program.
If you are a JAWS user becoming JAWS certified can help improve your use of JAWS and looks very impressive on a resume.
