Think you are a glamor girl? Can't seem to find enough glamor clothes to accentuate your life? Ditto, that's why I was so excited when I found Mode Merr, an independent clothing retailer out of Rochester, New Hampshire. This little "made to order" shop was founded by Angela Zampell.
Selection: There is an interesting selection of clothing from doll bras (must be seen to understand), skirts, blouses, lots of dresses and the amazing tulle flame skirts.
Sizing: Mode Merr has a unique offering of sizing you don't see in many shops. They offer sizes from XXS to XXXL. I'd like them to go a little bigger but I'm proud of the size offering they are at now. I also get the impression they will do custom fittings if you contact them.
Styling: All the fashions, down to the way they are photographed remind me of the glamorous pin-up girls from the 1950s. One of the models even looks a lot like Bettie Page. The styles are sexy but classy.
Pricing: Considering it is "made to order" and they are fabulous designs, their prices seem reasonable. They range from $38 - $92. The least being for a top and the most expensive for a dress.
Availability: They will ship internationally.
Overall Impression: As for the styles and selection, I love them. You're definitely not going to find these pieces in every online shop. They are unique, trendy and hot. It is important to point out that Mode Merr does not provide refunds on any purchases so read their exchange policy and ask any questions you have about their garments and sizing before ordering. They are one of the few online clothing shops that accept PayPal which is convenient for this PayPal user. My only real complaint is the .pdf files used to provide the shipping information instead of another web page. It slows down the surfing when you are looking for quick information on shipping costs. I would like to see a few more full-figure women modeling their designs.
