The Paperback Swap Club

If you love to write, chances are you also love to read. A lot. But books are expensive. What if there was a way to get free books? Sound too good to be true? You need to check out the Paperback Swap Club.

Do you have any books lying around that you will never read again? Would you like to trade them for books you want to read? For free? To join the Paperback Swap Club, all you need to do is list 10 books that you are willing to swap with others and you receive 2 credits. With each credit, you are free to choose a book from the over 4 million books available on their site.

The books you choose are mailed directly to you free of charge. There are no strings attached. No gimmicks involved. The books are yours to keep forever or to relist and swap out again. It is totally up to you.

When someone requests one of the books you have listed, all you need to do is print out 2 pieces of paper from your computer. (If you don’t have a printer, you can hand address your package.) The 2 pieces of paper can be used to wrap the book in. If you so choose, the proper postage can be bought through the club and printed out on the paper. That way, you won’t even need to make a trip to the post office to mail your book out. Your credit will be received when the book is scanned at the post office. If you also choose to purchase delivery confirmation, you will receive your credit instantly. Otherwise, you receive your credit when your book is received by the member who requested it.

How to get your book ready to mail out is thoroughly explained. If you buy postage and/or delivery confirmation and your printer won’t print it out for you, don’t worry, There are backup address pages that you can still print out with the postage and everything on them. You will not be cheated.

You do not receive credits for the books you list after the first 10. Credits are received for each book you mail out. Or credits can be purchased through the site for $3.45 each. Even if you buy the credits to get your books with, that is still an amazing deal.

The books I have received so far have all been in terrific condition. Some of the people mail the books you request from them the very next day, others take several days to get them in the mail.

Currently, I am reading the Ellie Haskell series by Dorothy Cannell. Because of the Paperback Swap Club I have been able to acquire books in the series for nothing. So far I have had 4 of my books requested. It didn’t cost much to mail each of them and in return I received books that I wanted.

Right now, club membership is totally free. Sometime in the future the founders may ask for dues of $10 to $20 a year for its upkeep.

For every person that clicks on the link below and joins, I will receive 1 credit. You will still receive 2 credits for the first 10 books you list. I hope you enjoy the club. It is a great way to get books you want to read and save money at the same time.
