I thought that by now I'd be seeing Cas Haley's picture plastered all over the airwaves. I've been listening for what I'm sure is going to be one of the most stylish and memorable albums to come along in a very long time with Cas Haley's name plastered all over it. I thought I'd wait until that kind of momentum was underway so that I could point you all to all the directions I figured Cas Haley would be going with his gifts and talents, but I just can't wait any longer! I want to say something about Cas Haley now!

I know he does have a new album in the works, and I read that he's about to release a single entitled "Messy" from that album in the near future. That's exciting. I'll be at the front of the line when that's available, but what plays over and over again in my head is Cas Haley singing "Easy". As far as I am concerned, that was one of the classic performances of this decade. I'm going to step out on a limb and declare that I believe, once his CD hits, that Cas Haley is going to become one of those performers we'll be talking about for the next quarter century. He's got that much going for him.

So, who is Cas Haley, some of you may be asking? He is the first runner up in the last "America's Got Talent" competition. But that is what I want to be sure doesn't become an easy definition of who Cas Haley is! That is why I don't want to wait any longer before I start yelling his name from the roof top -- at least here! He is an emerging phenom! You can hold me to that one.

He has a sound and a style that sets him totally apart. His rhythm is reggae with an acoustical twist, but as much a part of that sound as anything else is the stage presence Cas brings to bear. The clamor will not only be to hear him, but to see him; to see him lift that leg and take that little rocking step that sways and rocks, and to witness that glow that seems to come from some depth of connection to the whole wide universe that is only complete when his voice is set free. Remember the name: Cas Haley!
