Eddy's Place Restaurant, Pulaski, NY
Guest Author - Brenda Potter Reynolds

There are plenty of reasons to visit Pulaski, NY. Many people visit for the Salmon and Steelhead Fishing. In the winter, there’s lots of snow for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. The village’s location near Lake Ontario makes it a popular summer destination. And in fall, the foliage is spectacular.

Whatever your reason for visiting Pulaski, it’s always a good idea to stop in at Eddy’s Place, located on Rome Road.

This popular restaurant offers a dining room, lounge area with bar, and takeouts are available. I have eaten there many, many times with family and friends, and I’ve never had a sub-par meal. My son loves their salad bar, my husband enjoys the haddock, and I usually get the French Dip, a beef sandwich with Au Jus for dipping, for lunch. It can be ordered with fries, but I’d rather get the homemade potatoes chips, seasoned just right. At dinner, you can’t beat Eddy’s steaks.

Did I mention that Eddy’s also has French Onion Soup on the menu? That’s another plus in my book.

On Friday and Saturday nights Eddy’s offers a buffet, featuring dishes like chicken and biscuits and homemade soups. There’s also live entertainment on some evenings.

Ed Ward is the chef, and owns Eddy's with his wife Paula. Ed was the chef at the Log Cabin Restaurant, a Pulaski favorite, for many years. Unfortunately, the Log Cabin was destroyed in a fire in 2000 and was rebuilt only recently as another restaurant. Luckily for us, Ed and Paula opened Eddy’s, so we can enjoy his culinary skills again.

The food isn't the only reason to visit Eddy's. The atmosphere is inviting and family-friendly, and a kid's menu is available. The wait staff has always been attentive and friendly when I’ve visited. The prices are surprisingly reasonable. Dining at Eddy’s is always a treat.
