Granbury, Texas is the home base for Loralie Harris's self-titled company that has been producing and distributing traditional prom and wedding dresses for over twenty years. If you're looking for tradition, satin, tulle and taffeta you've come to the right place.

Selection: At the time of this write up there were 50 plus size gowns to choose from. They also have a small selection of gloves, hair accessories, handbags and jewellery. There is an excellent selection of strappy shoes from Alisha Hill (7) and Touch-ups (32).

Sizing: Loralie carries an impressive array of sizes ranging from size 2 - 26. Not all the dresses in the plus section come in all sizes but most of them did.

Styling: All sleeveless ranging in style from fairy tale to hip and streamline to layered. Enough satin, tulle and taffeta to curl any girl's toes. A few corsets thrown in for good measure.

Pricing: From $209 to $355 for an evening dress, prom or wedding dress. The prices are a bit hefty and I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's because of the quality of workmanship and the abundance of fabric required for garment. Plus sizes are $20 more than regular sizes. Their white dresses are more economical than many of the bridal shops I've been in looking for plus sizes. They have a very strict return policy so make sure you read it before you place a purchase.

Availability: Shipping is free on orders $100 or more in the US. They will ship internationally with costs upwards of $40.00 to $70.00. They recommend contacting them for a quote so you won't be surprised.

Overall Impression: Loralie is trying to be a one stop shop for all your prom needs and they seem to be pulling it off although actually listing a lingerie section seems redundant when there is only one slip in it. They have a good selection of dresses but unfortunately they are all sleeveless. In the whole plus size section there is not one plus size model to be seen which makes it hard to picture what the dresses would look like on fuller women. There are no style suggestions for different plus size body types.

The newly updated website is easy on the eyes and extremely easy to find what you need. You can click on plus size and immediately see all the dresses available or click on a color (black, blue, brown, coral, green, pink, purple, red, silver, white and yellow) and scroll down to find what plus sizes are available.

Other added features include a downloadable catalogue, printable Loralie tape measure and You Tube videos on some of the dress photo shoots (although a bit blurry). A fun feature is their monthly "win a dress" promotion where one lucky girl gets the dress of dreams just for filling out an extremely easy survey about color and styles.
