Harley Davidson Theme - Kids Bedroom

Harley Davidson Theme - Kids Bedroom
If your pre-teen is interested in a Harley Davidson theme bedroom, then be prepared to create an exciting space using the colors found in the Harley Davidson logo: black, white and flame orange. Considering that the image of motorcycle racing brings the feeling of “fast” and “speed” to mind, this is indeed going to be a vibrant space.

Begin by creating a phenomenal focal point for the room. Place the bed in the middle of one wall and paint the wall behind it black with orange flames bursting around the head of the bed. Paint the other three walls white or a shade of orange.

Look for used dressers and other bedroom furniture pieces at yard sales and refurbish them with 2 coats of glossy black paint. Add metal or chrome knobs to the drawers. You could customize the knobs out of wrenches. Dress the bed and windows with Harley Davidson fabrics or just use solids in black or orange.

Look for motorcycle items to add personality to the room. Shop junkyards for spare motorcycle parts and display as a collage on one wall. Visit a Harley Davidson showroom and seek permission for your child to sit on an actual bike so that you could take his picture. Blow it up to poster size for his bedroom.
If that doesn’t work out, tack up a few posters of guys on motorcycles flying through the air.

You might also do something interesting like cut two motorcycle wheels in half and then attach them to the ceiling to look like a bike is about to crash through into the room.

Most of all get your child’s input and invite him to help you decorate the space. Find ways to accommodate his ideas so the room truly feels like his own. When you are done, be sure to take plenty of photos for a scrapbook, because sooner or later your pre-teen will outgrow this theme and be on to another look and feel. Finally, enjoy creating a one-of-a-kind room with your child.
