The list of nominees is out for the 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards set to air on CBS on May 18th. Reba is hosting the show again from Las Vegas, it should be an interesting show.

Kenny Chesney is nominated for 11 awards, if there is an award this man was eligible for, he was nominated. Carrie Underwood is only up for one award, the one she won last year Female Vocalist of the Year. Brad Paisley is up for numerous awards, including going for the Male Vocalist of the Year award he won last year.

Be ready, this year the fans get to vote on the Entertainer of the Year award for the first time. The voting starts on May 5th and I’ll let you know where to vote for your favorite. Yet again no women are nominated in this category, makes you kind of wonder what a female artist has to do to get a nomination.
