Their online shop has allowed them to spread the love of curves even further. Torrid offers their own clothing label as well as carrying an assortment of rotating brand names like Apple Bottoms, Baby Phat, Betsey Johnson, Dereon, Hello Kitty, Lip Service, Paris Blues, Spanx, Z.Cavaricci and more. Their head office is run out of California.

Selection: Torrid carries tops, pants, denim, dresses, skirts, shorts, lingerie (bras/panties), hosiery, swimwear, shoes, jewellery as well as special occasion clothing for Valentine's Day, Halloween, Prom and now Bridal.

Sizing: Torrid's clothing accentuates the curves of women sizes 12 - 28.

Styling: Torrid is very trendy with a young in age and/or young at heart clientele. Their fashions are mostly casual (and in some cases gothic) with a few special occasion pieces. Fashions are definitely made for the self confident curvy gyrl with attitude.

Pricing: Reasonably priced (special occasion at the high-end of affordable).

Availability: They ship within the US using FedEx with rates starting at $7 all the way up to $32 depending on order total. USPS Express is used for international orders but I could not find any rates (I'd recommend emailing, calling or using their live chat before ordering if you live outside the U.S.).

Overall Impression: The website is easy to surf, it's uncluttered, there is an array of young models with different body types and the shopping cart is easy to understand and maneuver. Phone and email information is readily available. The daytime live chat is a nice feature for customers wanting some help with out having to go to the phone but I would like to see extended hours. While orders can be placed on the weekend it looks like they won't be looked at until Monday. There is a free "loyalty program" called divastyle that customers can register with to take advantage of discounts, special events and collect points for free merchandise. Torrid always seems to have a lot of clearance items to browse through.
