Depending on the resort, however, you may need to use only those vendors that have been approved by the hotel's wedding planner, or you might be required to employ the on-site chef to create your meal and wedding cake -- no outside catering services allowed.

The reception facility includes a totally secluded beach (above left), a covered palapa (left) for a sit-down meal, jungle garden and spacious restrooms (with clever conch shell sink faucets), plus a facility manager on site at all times. You can get married on the beach, perhaps with a Native Mystical Wedding ceremony (above right), and then spend your wedding night at one of the suites next door (or revel in an entire week's honeymoon at this private location).
