This past weekend, a historic event took place—but I’m afraid that most people did not notice or even hear of it. About 15,000 pledged to go to the Ron Paul Revolution March and from what I have gathered from different sources, the organizers of the March say that 10,000 plus were in attendance. I was not able to attend, but I so wanted to be there. From what I’ve heard it was “a day to remember,” according to the Campaign for Liberty website.

They had guest speakers and a couple of musical bands; I’m sure it was a festive event. I had seen a YouTube video where there was a bit of drama with police and an activist. I don’t think anyone was tased and/or arrested. The March was a peaceful one, but the purpose was to get a point across—to restore our Republic.

For far too long our nation has strayed from its constitutional roots, the way our Founding Fathers had intended. We the people have allowed the bureaucrats to run amok and I feel it is about time people said, “Enough is enough.” When watching the YouTube videos of the March-- I can see and feel the passion these people had at the rally. The same passion and emotion that I share with my fellow Ron Paul supporters is one of those things you have to experience for yourselves and I believe a big part of it is education. Enlightenment is probably a better word and I cannot stress enough the importance of it. I believe that God gave us a mind to use so that we can be indeed free. A scripture in the Bible comes to mind, “and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

And, I often wonder if most Americans are desensitized to the corruption in our government. Maybe, it’s what’s on TV. Like most of what we eat is not healthy, what we watch on TV may not be healthy to our minds. Sure, we live in “the land of the free” and we are not physically shackled by any means. But, are we really free? We are spoon fed information through the mainstream media, who are owned by big corporations and a small group of elites. Those same corporations and elitists lobby government officials. These people are in this for money and power. When we buy into their propaganda, we are slaves to their system. Therefore, my answer to you is, “no” we are not truly free. The reason why the Revolution March was not televised is because “the powers that be” do not want you to be free.
