Jewelry Tips for the B.B.W.

Jewelry Tips for the B.B.W.

Singer, and actress, Queen Latifah, Emme, the first famous Plus Size Super Model and author and Golden Globe and Emmy-award-winning actress and playwright, Camryn Manheim…What do these stunningly gorgeous women have in common? They are only three of the popular voluptuous beauties of the entertainment industry that have helped to revolutionize today’s beauty ideal. The age of “beauty mandates being thin” is over. Now, women of every size can be “the fairest of them all.“

If you are a full-figured lovely who wants to accentuate her special kind of beauty, here are a few tips for using fashion jewelry to bring out the best based on your specific beauty features.
The most critical of-the-moment beauty tip? Check out what is in fashion, what classics appeal to you the most but in the end, create your own style starting by focusing on what makes you uniquely you!

When it comes to earrings, try the contrast of square or rectangular earrings against a rounder face type. Proportion is essential top bring out your best. If you are large in build, experiment with medium to large size studs, bolder dangly earrings and bright colors or unusual designs and to bring attention to your face and chest area.

Necklace choices can be a bit trickier than earrings. What is your best visual asset? Do you carry your long limbs and tall stature beautifully? Are you large-boned or statuesque? The fashion jewelry that will highlight these features include big, beautiful beads, geometric shapes, large chains or chains of various link sizes from medium to large. Try wearing two or three pieces together in monotone or colors that coordinate with your clothing that day. For a more daring look, choose contrasting colors that really pop! For example, lime green or purple fashion accessories to brighten up a businesslike charcoal gray.

You buxom women with enviable décolletage can really show off your figure with a well-placed or particularly striking pendant rather than an overly delicate piece that may look flimsy on your chest. I suggest that when you go to buy necklaces, try several lengths on. The Princess length, which is seventeen to nineteen inches, is usually the most flattering to those with this figure type. Matinee length, which can run from twenty to twenty-four inches can be a fashion disaster for the top-heavy as it tends to bounce-bounce-bounce against your bust line as you walk! Longer styles, such as opera length or ropes can be worn if they are heavy enough to lay flat. Chokers are best avoided for this body type.

Large hipped women can use the above tips to bring attention to their other attractive above-waist features. Fashion accessories other than jewelry such as belts, hip wraps and the cut of your clothing can be worn to show off a voluptuous bottom.

Lastly for fashion jewelry, a three-inch extender in gold or silver tone can be purchased to lengthen almost any necklace. Try the new magnetic clasps, they are remarkably strong and easy-to-use. Some of the better plus size shops carry full figured jewelry lines but savvy shopping can get you longer necklaces or larger chokers just about anywhere. Wear your size proudly and you will be a big and beautiful jewelry fashionista with these jewelry tips!
