The Eddie Bauer clothing line was developed by the outdoorsman of the same name in the 1920s. The company's name is synonymous with quality outdoor wear (which I associate with comfort wear) including a plus size line. Their headquarters is located in Bellevue, Washington but they have almost 400 stores throughout the North America. They offer gift certificates and their own credit card as well as a points system to collect towards gift certificates for future purchases.

Selection: The Eddie Bauer plus size line is not huge but it does cover the basics: tops, bottoms, swimwear, outerwear, a few dresses and accessories. They also offer petite and tall. At the time of this write up they had 89 items available in this line.
Sizing: They currently offering their clothing in S - 2X but they describe their clothing as having a "slightly roomier fit".
Styling: I would describe the Eddie Bauer plus size style as casual comfort for doing errands to a walk in nature.
Pricing: Eddie Baueer's clothing runs mid point with tops between the $20 - $65 range, bottoms in the $40 - $60 range, outerwear is under $150 and swimwear runs high at $75 - $150.
Availability: They ship to the U. S and Canada and some international areas. Standard shipping starts at $4.95 for $50 orders and goes up from there. Very reasonable but there may also be a $3 handling fee mentioned under the shipping info.
Overall Impression: I love how the website offers three complete outfit suggestions for each piece. Totally cool feature. And you can see all pieces at a glance hovering the mouse arrow over the item and see all the colors available. It's too bad it didn't include sizing info in this pop-up. The plus size section says it is 16 - 26 but many of the items I looked at only went to size 20. The swimwear I looked at only went to 16/18. Disappointing considering many of the styles I looked at were offered in real plus sizes in elsewhere. Despite this I really liked their casual carefree styles in the tops and pants so I qualify them as worth the trip.
