Trace Adkins - Concert Review

If you haven’t seen Trace Adkins in concert, you need to go see him! This man knows how to entertain his audience.

It is no secret that I love Trace Adkins, his voice is enough to drive a woman nuts, if I thought I was alone in that feeling it is gone now. With a stadium full of rodeo fans, the women went crazy when this tall, talented man took the stage and opened his show with Game On. For the next hour or so he kept us all entertained and singing along with him. I am not too sure how he really felt about the fact he was in the middle of Reliant Stadium so far away from the audience, though he did make a comment during Chrome that he felt like he was in the middle of pasture and couldn’t hear the audience singing back to him. He sang a mixture of his older releases and songs off his latest release "X".

During the show Trace told the audience that he remembered coming to the rodeo in Houston and wishing one day to be there performing, it was a dream come true for him and he hopes to make more appearances. He seemed to get a bit choked up during that memory. During the show they showed his videos for each song in the background. The rodeo has changed the stage for performers this year and has included catwalks that extend a bit further out which is nice since we can see a bit more of the performers now. The stage still rotates, but they have the jumbotron screens up so that even if the stage is facing the other way you can still see what is happening on stage.

Set List:
1. Game On
2. Swing
3. Songs About Me
4. Chrome
5. Feel Something
6. Muddy Waters
7. You’re Gonna Miss This
8. Rough & Ready
9. Marry for Money
10. Hillbilly Rich
11. Ladies Love Country Boys
12. Hot Mama
13. Honkytonk Badonkadonk
