Diane's book is more like self-help workbook than just a book. It is a very helpful and insightful, useful book. The book is essentially, about how to organize your financial divorce from easy uncontested divorce to a contentious acrimonious divorce.
If you have not even started your divorce but you are just living in a state of “Limbo” Diane's book will help you do something to bring yourself out of limbo. She will help you determine whether or not it is time to divorce, and she will also help you determine how difficult a divorce it will be. She will point you to the right direction for the help you need as well.
One of the parts I like most about her workbook is the fact that she asks you to actually do something. In each aspect of your divorce she asks you write down the items she asks you to write down, and it helps you to look at different aspects of your divorce from financial to emotional.
She even has you determine whether or not the behavior is acceptable or unacceptable (of either party) to help you determine if you should divorce or not. She asks you to take your time and really consider all alternatives. Then if moving forward to divorce she asks you to have a plan going in.
This is a small book, but it is packed with sound thoughts, advice and a call to action. This is not just a book it is a tool for action. When you are in the midst of a horrible marriage, thinking about divorce, or whether you have already left the marriage but need help getting your thoughts, needs, and issues prioritized this book will help. I highly recommend it. I hardly ever say that in my reviews but I feel that Diane's workbook is very useful.
