Brief History: Anita Mahaffey is the founder and managing director of Cool-jams in San Diego, California. They are the "only manufacturer of wicking sleepwear to have complete control of all aspects of production from design, fabric manufacturing, stitching and distribution". Their sleep wear is designed for women suffering from night sweats due to PMS, pre menopause and menopause or just because they are hot stuff. They have five styles of night gowns and eight styles of pyjamas to choose from.
Product: Kristi Moisture Wicking Nightshirt (3x)
Description: V-neck night shirt has a soft lace trim and side slits. It is made of 100% polyester microfiber and is available in sizes S to 3x with a generous cut (the large is a 12/14, xl is a 16/18, 2x is 20/22 and 3x is a 24/26). The color choices for the Kristi night shirt are lilac and aqua. The night shirt is cleanly stitched, there are no loose tags and the shoulders are reinforced. It comes with its own mesh bag for protection when cleaned in washing machines.
Features: The top three features of this product: wicks away moisture, shrink resistant, quick drying.
Packaging: It came wrapped in a heavy gauge plastic. Be careful when opening as the seal is incredibly sticky in warm weather and hard to remove from hands.
Price: $39.00 US.
Comments: The Kristi night shirt is light weight and lightly see through when held up to the light but camouflage aspect is good. The material is not as soft and as stretchy as I expected the microfiber to be. This doesn't mean it is bad just not the microfiber I expected. Although the website says the sleepwear runs small I found the Kristi night shirt to be generous in size.
Satisfaction: High! This Cool-jams Kristi nightshirt doesn't pick and is comfortable to wear. It is a good length and didn't twist around my body while sleeping. The light weight fabric makes it comfortable during warm temperatures both external and internal. The only thing I didn't like was the cool-jams logo printed on the chest--I hate the idea of marketing something that is paid for.
If you suffer from an elevated body temperature during the night then I recommend you give this cool fabric night shirt a try.
